So does anyone know of any fencing camps in the u.s. hosted by national or world class fencers.
any replies would be appreciated. |

I know there is a camp that Boris Korestski and Alexander Romankov do on the West Coast, they went to Seattle and Stanford and maybe somewhere else last year. They'll probably be doing it again this year, but the USFA magazine will have advertisements when the time comes. |

| How can you sign up for a USFA magazine? Do they have a website? And can you sign up if you're a member of CFF? I don't beleive we have a magazine here in Canada. |

Have you trained with Golubitsky before?
He is, without question, a fantastic fencer and a fun guy too, but his coaching can be rather harsh and the "range" of fencers which he is interested in is very limited.
You would be better to save your money (and not tavel to Italy) and find a very good camp in the US.
Hope this helps,
Boo |

| Ian,
Have you tried looking for camps or classes in the Wisconsin or Midwest area?
There are a number of clubs in the Wisconsin/Illinois area that offer classes if not camps.
Try the website for the Durendal Fencing Club in Madison, as they also have links to most of the other clubs in the area, and I know they offer classes too.

Last I heard you can get just the magazine without the membership for $16 in the U.S. and $28 outside the U.S. For $30 you can get a 'Fence for Fun' membership which includes the magazine and newsletter and be able to fence at local tournaments.
With Joe Byrnes article in most every magazine it is a good choice.

| Hey boo boo.
I have a few questions.
First of all, I'm really interested in golubitsky's camp this july. And my parents okayed it already (not that I really needed their permission, I'm 20, but they're going to help me pay even though I have a job).
What "range" is he interested in?
What do you mean by "harsh" training?
If you know of any better camps (new york area would be nice), please let me know.
P.S. I'm a three-weapon fencer, BUT if I HAD to classify myself, I'd consider myself a foilist.
Thank you.

| hey Boo,
I'm very interested as well. Is there any way you could tell me a bit about it as well (if it isn't too much to ask)? |
