| Heart Warmer! Someone knocked lightly on my front door. I yelled "just a minute" got up, walked to door, opened door. Young African American man standing on doorstep looking a little nervous.
Me: "yes?"
Him: "um, ma'am, you left your keys in your door"
Me: " YOU"RE kidding me?"
Him: "no ma'am" holds up keys gives them to me
ME: "gee, thanks"
ME: yelling: I Cant;t believe it, I fell asleep all night long with the keys in my front door! Thanks"
Him: okay, bye, and he just walked down the block. |

| Truly and absolutely, and i was asleep at the time he knocked at the door. It's amazing, i can't tell you the amount of times, i have done things like that, but today, i had the opportunity to do something for somebody else.
to empty pm box simply click onto profile/user prefs and i think that's where you'll find the thingy which tells you how to get your messages. hope this helps.
will you tell me what is: carpe diem ad asha
it sounds like 'in god we trust' diem is diety, what's the rest. thanks |

| You could say it is in God we trust. Carpe Diem by itself is simply seize the day. Though there is more to it I'm not sure what it is anymore, but it means 'Sieze the day in the name of God' or something along those lines. As for Ad Asha it means 'To the stars'.
I picked up a spilled cup of orange soda the other day after school, and one of our class officers was at ehr locker and she said "That is the coolest thing I've seen all day! I'm so glad someone else cares!" so I felt pretty good.
Thanks for the help.

| It's actually "ad astra."
I've heard it used in the phrase, "ad astra per aspera," meaning "to the stars, through difficulty." |

| I keep changing mine. I try to stick to one avatar, but find they don't match the topic, so I change for topics. Good luck, you're almost there, 5 more, and shazam! please make a nice one! i also try to blend mine with the other avatars, for the sake of esthetical harmony. [did i spell that right, not to beat a dead horse to death, but I can only manage doing a few things well, and spelling just isnt' on the list, i'm NOT, repeat, NOT a genius, I'm only a high-bright, not genius, if I were genius, I could everything just so, but speaking OFF THE CUFF [more fencing talk] about geniuses, Marilyn Vos Savant, our most famous female genius made an error! Someone wrote to ask her to fill in the blanks with an ecrypted message, and while she gave a more obscure answer [the keyboard] there was another answer equally correct, but I'd have to look it up. |

| I'd be paranoid the guy was just using the key as an excuse to knock and get an eyeful of what stuff you had while you were thanking him to see if it was worth bringing his van up later. |

| Mike, no way, the key was actually in the door all night! I left it in the lock and went about my business [la-daa, time for a shower, time for dinner, ho-hum - a little tv , and zzznooze time] slept the en-tire night, with keys in door! [ha!] can you believe it. Creepy. I slept very well, and the light was just streaming through the window of the early morning when I heard the knock knock knocking at my door. It never entered this kids mind to sneak in at my stuff, he was totally amazed also, I was lucky he spotted them, I couldve been killed!!!!!!!!
Ouiyt: I am devastated! Ask Marilyn is frequently incorrect! Can you explain, how then, can this be? This must be some kind of phenomena, or actually, people like Marilyn are not like containers of facts, but do well with working out problems. I wonder how Marilyn Vos Savant would be as a President? |

| You might have noticed that I made my own avatars...
Thankfully there are still a lot of people of all colour in this part of the world where I live.
There are of course exceptions to the rule:
The white police officer arrested a young black man driving a Mercedes thinkin ghe stole the car. Turned out he's a young dentist...
The cop was sued.

And, carpe diem is "Seize the day"
Ad astra is "to the stars"
(man, all that high school Latin is returning...didn't do much good on the SATs, though...) |
