Large USFA open in Western MA

UMass Fencing and Smith College Fencing will be hosting the 2nd Annual Five College Open (formerly the UMass Open) on the 19th of April.

The event WILL be a USFA open, and will thus be open to ALL members of the USFA. It will include women's and open (mixed) events in all three weapons. There will be 20 strips, with hopefully 6 copper, and hopefully also some vendors. We are expecting to draw at least B's in all events, and an A in open epee.

Furthermore, we are hoping to draw A's in open sabre, women's sabre, and women's epee. We have online registration available, so sign up soon!

Hope to see you all there!

Hey, I just signed myself and my son up for it online. It'll be fun to be beaten by someone new.

Anyone know who to contact to remove the "extra" half entry for me and the duplicate for my son I put in by accident? (I'm a little too quick with the "enter" key. How embarassing!)

Don't worry about it. There are a few issues with the online reg that need to get cleared up (Open events are listed as Men's). We'll clean up the lists to remove duplicate entries, blank entries, partial entries, etc. I assume that what you wanted was an entry each for your son and yourself in the Open Epee and that even the weapon portion of your partial entry is an error and it should be removed (it's listed under Open Foil).

Convince more people to come up from NJ. More the merrier. See you next month (it'll be good to put a face with the name).
