Starting a Beginner-Fencing class

Hey,

Trying to figure out the logistics behind starting a simple beginner fencing class in Harlem. I know that NYC is swamped with clubs but am just trying to start something in an area that doesn't get as much exposure to the sport.

Any advice on how to find space, and marketing the class, plus anything that someone who has never ventured in to running their own class might encounter. I'm just clueless as to what the resources are out there.

Any words of wisdom will be much appreciated!

See if you can find a space cheap, like a church or other community space. what will be the age group you are targeting? you are going to need at least a few weapons or broom sticks.
