Interesting television program last night.

On The History Channel. It is called "Conquest" with Peter Woodward.

They did a show on dueling and rapier fighting, and it wasn't half
bad, IMVHO.

Anyone else seen it?

I missed that one, as I was fighting my way through a snowstorm, but it is a
very entertaining series, as a rule.

I'm afraid I missed that one, but from other episodes I've seen, it's
likely to be one of those maddening combinations of good information and
outright crap. I did see promos and found it rather incongruous that they
presented men in late 15th-century get-up apparently going at each other
with sword and buckler.

And I do hope that the lady smallsworder was not meant to be La Maupin,
since she is recorded as dressing in male attire when she duelled.
