I think the king is doing the sound that is made in greek restaurants
when they light saganaki on fire. Strangly enough, Chicago area
fencers of the 80's and 90's used to make that sound when they scored
a touché. No doubt something they picked up in a Greek Town
restaurant.

Whoo-Phah (translation: I just hit you there. Ha ha!)

Where I come from it is 'Whoo-pah!'. the sound you make when you hit someone
particularly stylishly, or your team-mate wins an important point.
