Array Fencing nightmare http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/highsc...201311480.html
This kid...
fencing epee...
posting a French grip...
Or fencing sabre....how in the bloody Hell would you be able to parry a head cut?
(On the other hand, the underside of his weapon arm would be a PRIME target) -

Array That's a painful clip to watch, particularly towards the end when he is blocked by a guy half is height and ends up writhing on the ground. -

(On the other hand, the underside of his weapon arm would be a PRIME target) He'll be much better in epee than saber. He can hit the opponent square on the mask and the opponent won't get his tip past his elbow. -

Reminds me of PCCs in 98...team epee. We're trying to see who we get in the first round (before realizing the BC didn't realize there were TWO separate clubs called SwordPlay) and I saw someone named Hack (I think) from Halberstadt...he looked over 6' 6" and all I could think was please don't give us Halberstadt!
Turned out all right...we beat Redlands for the right to be pounded by No Fear! -

Array I'm thinking Foil.
"I can hit your target, how's my elbow?"
He looks slow which isn't as much a benefit in Foil as Epee. Drill him in 7 & 8 parries! Right-of-way doesn't matter if there is a single light. -
