    My theory is that the ROW weapons are typically fenced by effete, delicate flowers... and that they wind up retiring early because of injuries.

    Of course I don’t have statistics to thrust around, but look around in the real world.

    Yes, but all theories originating with epeeists are automatically suspect*. So we may disregard it on principle. Also, epeeists don't know anything about the real world. I mean, they think it's the hardest weapon to ref, that epeeists are the best athletes, that noncombativity is really beautiful, deep strategic maneuvering---I could go on.
