SäbelFechter is on a distinguished road
Many of my favourite books have already been mentioned, but there is one very popular series among them which no one has listed yet - the Sherlock Holmes stories by Arthur Conan Doyle. Don't have the time to make a full list of my favourites right now though

While there is so much good informatoin in the Bible (and it is undeniably popular), and I think that everyone should read it - it has excellent lessons - I cannot list it as a favorite book. It is simply not enjoyable to read! While the content is wonderful, the writing itself leaves much to be desired. Just sitting down and reading it is extremely difficult.

Sherlock Holmes - has a vote a definite favorite.

I think the Bible is interesting, all the battles, the Tower of Babel story, Samson's story, etc.
