The squeak noise. Is making a squeak noise between the guard and the blade where it is passing thru the guard, when you are a-fencing: then use a light application of a light type of machine oil and even light olive oil. In the tight fit between the guard and the forte of the blade when there is a squeak noise when the weapon is a-fencing. Can sound confusing. Because the squeak noise can sound like a prise-de-fer or it can sound like a beat even a parry. The oil applied light to the spot can remove or even eliminate the squeak noise.
The squeak noise.
Making it work for you. -
Ringing If you remove the pad from the back of your epee guard, then you will hear ringing sounds when opponent hits your guard, DING DONG, your guard is now a BELL GUARD. Your guard is now a bell guard. -

Array Kool Aid is something special today, eh, Earlie? Your own special blend, mayhap? A little of this, a little of that...maybe a little more of that...
Which minds me of a story. When I was a lad in high school, one of our gym teachers, Mr. H. was rumored to be a serious stoner, which in my youthful naivete I was skeptical of. Then one day after track practice, I came upon Mr. H wandering the corridor outside the locker room, rattling a ring of keys and muttering to himself "Nobody expects, no, nobody expects - THE DEVIL KEYS!!"
I was forced to conclude that Mr. H was indeed either under the influence of a chemical substance, or the Prince of Darkness. Either way, it was pretty cool.
That is all.
