USA Fencing Insurance for Divisions/Officers: Has anyone tried it?

Was browsing this morning for Club Membership info, and came across USA Fencing's insurance info page. It looks like they're now offering liability insurance to Divisions/Division Officers.

    Some questions:
    • Has anyone here had any experience with this liability insurance product?
    • Did you purchase coverage individually for Officers, or for the Division as a single entity?
    • What were your rates (general range is fine)?
    • If you needed to use it, what was your experience when an incident occured?
Any other feedback on using this service is appreciated.

I'm looking at the page and it's referring to "Club General Liability Insurance" and makes passing reference to Divisions and Officers in
Who is Insured? United States Fencing Association, Professional Members, USFA participating clubs and their member participants who elect coverage, member officials while acting in their capacity as such during USFA sanctioned activities, USFA Divisions while participating in USFA sanctioned tournaments where 100% of the division’s participants are members of USFA.
Were there any other references to Divisions that I might have missed??

Divisions as well as clubs, can buy insurance. General Liability Insurance and Director’s & Officers Liability are two different types.

General Liability covers bodily injury and property damage for which the insured is liable. D&O insurance covers damages alleged or proven to result from wrong decisions but not bodily injury or property damage.

Liability insurance policies are typically written as "Occurance policies" which pay for accident/damage events that occur during the policy period.

D&O policies are often written as "Claims-made policies", which pay based on the date of the lawsuit. The "wrongful decision or other act" could have occurred years before.

Then comes the question is there actually a need for such insurance by Division Officers? Uh, Oh, paranoia strikes.

I'm looking at it more from the perspective of being an Officer now, having seen Officers in the past deal with some very mentally unsound and lawsuit-happy EC members (Before you ask: proxy votes). Our Division also has an exceptionally notorious coach who has gone off the deep end in the last several years, and sues over everything these days.

Then again, I max out my personal insurance policies for the "just in case", because I have a personal history of very bad luck. So I don't want to pursue anything unnecessarily, but I'm also concerned about protecting our Division as a business-entity. We have a good bit of money in the bank, and I don't want to see it eaten away by lawsuit defense--not that it's currently or expected to be needed, but the whole point of insurance is that you buy it "just in case" you do.
