fixing bib lining of mask?

I've got one of those wonderfully comfy Prieur masks, but unfortunately my prickly Uhlmann lamé has been eating through the cloth lining the bib. Does anybody know of anyone who fixes these things, or have suggestions about how to do it myself? The task seems pretty dauting and, really, I'm not sure what fabric would have better durability.
Thanks!
Kate

qatet,

I'm facing the same problem as you so I've given the problem some thought.

Why not take your mask, or cut out a piece of the material & bring it to your nearest sewing place and they'll give you your reply as to the material.

I do most of my repairs using good old-fashioned needle and stout thread - sometimes I use dental floss, the waxed kind works better. Do you rrepairs while watching TV - not much on any way... I sew more than my wife does:
I made a new manchette out of the gauntlet of a deceased sabre glove and some pieces of lame'. Yes, I paid attention to the 5cm overlap of the material.

Since it is the inside lining of your bib, your comfort is more important...

Enjoy yourself sewing it on. Should take no more than 30 min. Of course you can take it to a tailor...

sallearmourer is on a distinguished road
We can make a lineing that held in by velco and can be removed for washing.
