For a look at lunges done with a better camera and faster shutter speed, consider looking at Holly Buechel's video Speed of Fencing

Holly, damn good video. I love the focus and clarity and the super-duper slo-mo. Must have been hella hot under the bright lights to enable the 1ms shutter speed?

Anyway, take a look at this cinemagraphic photo of me executing a lunge. It was taken by a semi-professional photographer (and very handy foilist) who fences at Central London FC. I think it's a really cool technique...

It may take a few secs to load.

I'd like to also point out that the rest of that guy's photography is pretty great as well (and includes other fencing images as well).

Working on that all-important 10,000 hours?
Use the Shift key, people! Keyboard manufacturers everywhere are ineffably saddened when you ignore what they made just for you!

With a $5,000 camera, I should hope so.

The camera doesn't take the picture the same way shoes don't make you fence better. He may have missed some shots with a much cheaper camera, but he would still have a lot of great photos.

What I meant was that hopefully only someone good at photography would make such an investment.
