| Swords of Love the Movie... What the...? In my Ym mag a long time ago I saw an add for a movie called the Swords of Love. It has 2 fencers in the pic and the words: Teammates. Friends. Rivals. Lovers.
I was really excited. I even went to the website they gave (SWORDSOFLOVE.COM), but it says it is under construction.
Then I thought is was going to be a homo flix and was never going to see it. I never saw an add again or anything. Then I really thought it was a homo flix.
Does anyone know ANYTHING about the movie? Anyone even see the add. write back. thanks

| Umm.. it was an ad for polaroid sticky film. It also was supposed to come out on November 31, which is what made me realize it was bogus (and it took a lot to convince some of my non-fencing friends of that fact). |

| TinaVy, it's bogus. There is no movie. There never was.
Phoenix just said, "I saw the film AD[vertisement]", not, "I saw the FILM". (Italics and caps added.)

| All that crap at the bottom is easy to fake. Mostly because nobody reads it. My advisor at school has a fake movie poster of a film he "made" called "Pong: the Movie" reading close, the male lead is Masahara Morimoto.

| i know! i saw that too, and mentioned it in one fo the posts, and was let down when it wasnt a movie. too bad, eh? that would be cool. a fencing movie. i could imagine disney doing something, since they have a movie for kids and young adults every month or so (my personal favorite was "motocrossed") but they do a lot of sports oriented movies. so who knows, maybe in the future. |

| There IS a fencing (sport fencing) movie, but this "Sword of Love" isn't the it. I saw it at an independent movie rental place, but I can't remember the name. The description on the back sounded horrible, though.

One trailer focuses its attention upon the main story between the son and the disciple of a NYC fencing master. The other in the parallel story of the two fencers who were teammates, friends, rivals and lovers. |

Keep looking. I'll wait.

| A iMDB search resulted in "Sword of Love" matched a 1965 Hong Kong movie, and "Sword of Many Loves" similarly is from 1992, also from Hong Kong.

| TinaVy, the only way it will ever be a movie is if you get a video-cam, find someone to be your "Friend.Rival.Lover" and shoot it yourself.
If you ever decide to do that, let me know. I'd be interested for...uh...'technical' reasons. Yeah, that's it--'technical' reasons.
