Yes, they bought Peter's story. Whether they'll do anything with it is anybody's guess. If they do make it, it's also anybody's guess if it will be recognizable as the same story.
It's being produced by the person who brought us "The Princess Diaries", which is a shambles of a movie. It's being co-written by the writer of "Eddie" starring Whoopie Goldberg as the new owner of the Knicks. Ouch and double dribble ouch.
Let's hope it goes into turnaround and gets picked up by somebody else. I'd love to see Peter's story on the screen, but it would be a shame to have it train wrecked by Hollywood hacks.
