I'm the pseudo-instructor at my fencing club, and have been using a more or less haphazard method of choosing my "lesson of the day." That is, I walk in, think for 10 seconds about what I saw go wrong the most at the last practice, and come up with a plan. I think that it may be better for me and the other club members if I had an actual lesson plan where I systematically work through a series of issues/moves over the course of the semester. Anyone have (or know where this is in a book or posted on the web) a lesson plan for beginning and intermediate fencers? I'm really just looking for an idea of how much stuff you work in to a typical practice and how quickly you would take a group of 10-20 (moderately coordinated high-school and college) fencers forward. We meet twice a week for two 14 week semesters.
Hello! I am a beginner, but I have two suggestions; One, on this website, there's drills that kinda go in order from basic to more advanced. Also, look at some books on Amazon.com to get you started. Hope this helps!
the germans have an entire system for lessons, very orderly methodical (very german). i dont know if there's a website for it... ask a coach somewhere. but every lesson is planned out ahead of time.
