Array Herman Cain backs banning of mosques....REALLY?? http://news.yahoo.com/blogs/ticket/h...152052930.html
Has he ever actually READ the 1st Amendment to the US Constitution?? The one that reads (emphasis mine) "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances."
Sure....because ALL mosques are terrorist factories....just as I suppose all Black churches in inner cities are street gang factories.
And THIS doofus is one of the GOPers running??? Yikes! -

Array He even begins a quote with "Our Constitution guarantees separation of church and state."
He doesn't seem to know just what he believes. -

Array The thing where the GOP wanted any bill to cite the clause of the constitution that gave it force seems like not so much of a terrible idea anymore. Pedicabo ego vos et irrumabo,

I don't remember that issue...might've missed it. But I can see why it wouldn't make it into law....it woulds shoot down so many bills LONG before they got out of committee... -

He doesn't seem to know just what he believes. Well, he states that allowing the mosque in the town is an infringement upon freedom of religion, so I'm guessing that by not allowing a town to discriminate against a religion it is somehow an infringement upon their religious freedom. I'm sure it all makes sense to him.
But how is this surprising? People don't get into politics because they love the consitution. They get into politics because they're ****ty people trying to advance their own agenda, whatever that may be. I am talking about both parties, by the way. -

Doesn't it seem like the party NOT holding the White House gets more press this way? It's almost like a political rule....lose the WH, become a douche for the next 4 years. -

Array Herman Cain has no shot at getting the GOP nod.
The Republicans know he's an unelectable lunatic.
He's good for comic relief however. -

Array I'm trying to imagine them... I was trying to riff on Cain's "no document more than 3 pages in length" "In theory, theory and practice are the same, but in practice, theory and practice are different." -

He's good for comic relief however. For the courts consideration, I would like to submit two items into evidence:
Item 1: Sarah Palin
Item 2: Michele Bachmann
I would now like to rest my case. Thank you. "Oh, how convenient! A theory about God that doesn't require looking through a telescope. Get back to work!" -

I would now like to rest my case. Thank you. Also unelectabe. The GOP is going to be hard pressed to find a credible candidate this year. All of the sane candidates have figured out Obama is going to be pretty much unbeatable in 2012, so they aren't running. -
