Looking for saber fencers in the Ft Myers, Florida area I belong to the SW Florida Fencing Academy in Ft Myers. I am one of two saber fencers in the local area. It appears we are the last saber fencers in our location and we want to change that. We are interested in putting together a saber team in the club. Saber is not too popular in our area and we want to change that as well. Almost all west coast Floridians participate in foil and epee. We are particularly interested in experienced saberists. We need a good coach to get us started. The club is quite active and very friendly. Does anyone know of saberists who are located in the Cape Coral/Ft Myers area? I need your assistance. Thanks, GB. -
I know that Jonathan Lord used to be from the area, if he is still around he fences sabre as well as foil. Other than that the best option you would have is to travel down to fort lauderdale and fence with danny derliner -

Array One of my fencers (epee and saber) just moved to the area and will be looking to start fencing once he settles in. Shoot me a PM and I will see about setting you up with him. Just another lost soul saved by the (hit) First Church of EPEE!

If you know his number, please have him call the SWFA and speak with Charles Johnson, our coach. The number is listed in the USFA site. I travelled to Ft Lauderdale twice this year and worked out with the Saber Outreach Network folks. They were extremely friendly and very helpful. The only problem is that it is a 240 mile round trip. I really want to revitalize saber in this area. Again, thank you for your assistance. It is much appreciated. GB -

I know that we are really interested in getting epee going in the club. The academy number is:239-939-1338. I am new to blogging and don't know what a "PM" is. Am standing by for more info. Thanks again for the help.
