    Back to the Garden!

We've gone full circle over the years here together on the board, we've seen folks that fence, and that don't fence, that don't like fencing, or fencers, now we have grunge fencers, that hate fencers from before.

Will you leave the old farts alone, [rock baby], like WISE WOMEN< WISE WOMEn, WISE WOMEN< WIIIIIIISE WOMEN [etc, lyrics by Holly Near]. Yah! pass the fencing clips, Yah!

Woodstock, Ruby in the Sky with Diamonds, Purple Haze.

I understand that you dont' like us, we did the same
thing to our parents for the Vietnam war. All of the above sounds like drivel now, but back then, we really believed it!

    What the hell?
It is the soldier, not the reporter, who has given us the freedom of the press. It is the soldier, not the poet, who has given us the freedom of speech. It is the soldier, not the campus organizer, who gives us the freedom to demonstrate. It is the soldier who salutes the flag, who serves beneath the flag, and whose coffin is draped by the flag, who allows the protestor to burn the flag. - Father Dennis Edward O'Brien, USMC

    swordsman: response

There's too much history to recap in one paragraph, but the results of today, are the product of actions of the past. I wish I could write something just about the last 20 years, something that takes a more analytical approach to the various movements both philosophical and poltical.
