| Depends on your definition of boring. I'm terribly bored by people who lecture me and tell me how wrong I am all the time, though I have a slightly higher tolerance on message boards than at, say, parties. Let's say he hasn't reached my "ignore list" yet. A very useful feature on this board, I might add. |

| Hey Pkt - I totally agree with you on the whole boredome issue - just sometimes where are limits (perhaps not in this case but I can remember a recent foil bout at Vancouver open ;D). Btw my post should in no way be viewed as disrespectful - I have a deep respect for your experience and almost perfect knowledge of the rools. |

| thank you lamberg for the flattery.
So you don't think much of my knowledge of the rules!? just my knowledge of the rools.
I don't claim to have 'almost perfect knowledge' of the rules or rools and others would agree with me more than 100%.

PK | Equality of opportunity to express oneself, perhaps. Especially if anonymity is guaranteed, since fencing is a very small world. |

METRICATION IN LIBYA
Thank you for your e-mail of 15 February.
The metric system is very much the norm in Libya. There is no evidence of any form of the imperial system in common use.

Hi…
I’ve finally had a reply from the British Embassy in Tripoli. Libya is 100% metric. Hope this answers your query!

| Joaveen,it's funny that you mention being in Montana. My club is in Calgary,Alberta and for our annual competition we tried to get some fencers to drive north for it.
We mailed a bunch of clubs from Idaho and Montana, all from the USFA sites and all we got in return were a bunch of "return to sender" stamps.
By all means if you,or anyone from the area, would like to come up and compete or train you're more then welcome. |

| NW Fencing Schedules For information on the competitions in the Pacfic NW. there is: http://www.fencing.probo.com/ which has an event schedule and contacts. There is also a list on there of all the fencing clubs in the NW Division.
March 9 there is the Un Touche Open at the Northwest Fencing center NWFencing.org. All three weapons will included in the open.
There is excellent information on these websites, read and enjoy.

| Hello!
SJB-
Hey, neat-o, I will try to mention you guys tomorrow, it's funny you got them all back! I haven't checked out our USFA address, maybe it's wrong? At any rate, sound like fun, I know I (anyways) would love to come down (uh, up!) sometime!!
Mo-
Thanx much for the info...!!! Unfortunately I will be in MN that date, in the opposite direction; what I'm REALLY bummed about is that we're having a competition here while I'm gone!!! But it was too late to change my ticket or anything by the time I found out...yeah, I'm trying not to think about it too much! There will be other ones!

| Joveen et al,
In case you're in Vancouve around Sun., 03/16, there's a tournament out at UBC. In the SUB Ballroom...
you can preregister via http://askfred.net/Events/tournamentInfo.php?t_id=305
Info for UBC: http://www.sunsite.ubc.ca/UBCMap/
The SUB is left of the 'bus loop'. Enter via Gates 1 or 2.
One can park at either the North parkade or the lot north of the Admin Building.
This map will give you the route into UBC.
To get to UBC:
from the US/Canada border via Southwest Marine Drive: 41st Avenue West joins Southwest Marine Drive near Crown Street, which (roughly speaking) marks the east boundary of Pacific Spirit Park between 41st Ave. and 16th Ave. Driving away from UBC Campus, Southwest Marine Drive slopes southeast, intersecting Granville Street at 70th Avenue.
From the Vancouver International Airport, follow the signs to downtown Vancouver. These will take you over the Arthur Laing bridge, and onto Granville Street, heading North. Turn left at 70th Avenue, which becomes Southwest Marine drive. This will take you to UBC Campus.
