Uhlmann FIE mask question Greetings,
I am not sure if I should post this here or else where on this forum, but I have a question about the value of a used Uhlmann FIE mask. I bought my mask a few years ago, have kept it really clean and in good condition, and there are no dents what so ever on the mesh. The only marking on it is a mask test mark from a tournament not too long ago, but other than that the bib is as white as new. While it has been really good to me, I cannot help but to want the Leon Paul X-change mask. My question is whether it would be worth to sell the Uhlmann, and how much can I realistically get back for it (bought it for ~$170). Any insight would be greatly appreciated! -
Armorer
Array You have not received an answer I am sure because a mask is safety equipment. There is no Armorer out there who will say to buy a used mask unseen and without a competent Armorer that they trust check it over before they buy.
If someone was buying it to put it on a wall, maybe they might say to buy it, but not to wear. I even recomend not even buying a new mask by mail. I have seen too many masks that were brand new that I have failed. Some of these were FIE. I will admit they were not major brands like Leon Paul, Uhlmann, AllStar and the like. Array Post it in the trading post section of these forums, or post it on Ebay or both. It is a well known brand, so I would think you could expect about half of retail for it. Take a few good, non-blurry pics and that will help it sell well. Good luck with it. Just another lost soul saved by the (hit) First Church of EPEE!

Array I would also caveat the offering with the statement that you make no claims as to the safety of the mask. If it is 2 years old and coupled with the fact that you are selling it over the net, I'd say you'd be lucky to get $50 for it. Better to try to sell it to someone in your club. Similar Threads -
