Also, bigdawg2121, needing help to go out of state with a 1400 is a big load of crap. You go to UNC, which has ridiculous policies regarding admission (good friend of mine who is now at USMA got into Harvard as well as a half-ride to Duke... flat out rejected from UNC). A 4.0, a 1350, splattering of extra currics, and a good essay will get you into almost anywhere.

Well I got my info from the mom and assumed it was correct. I apologize. I hope it also isn't true that this fencer's awards as well as his sisters were removed from the team's trophy cadre. I think this just shows what we all know anyway; ask the college what is expected for the varsity team - and how many credits can be earned for fencing, check with fencers for the college about the team, the coach and how the school itself views absences for fencing, and get at least two opinions about anything important.
