    All County Selection: First Team?

    what exactly is that, all county selection: first team.? i recieved it today at my county championship and really don't actually understand it, being it's only my second year participating. sigh.. so much to know..

    Back when I fenced on a Long Island high school team (Brentwood, 1976-1980), the All-County team was selected by the coaches at the County Tournament as an "all star" honor. If you were selected to the first team, the coaches were saying that they believe you to be one of the top three fencers in your weapon in Suffolk County for the past year.

    I hope you lived up to that honor during the County tournament...

    Heyhey that's awesome then... My school fences Brentwood because we are in the same district... Well I'm very proud to get All-County 1st team then.... woohoo
