Yes, LA would not be happening; I was looking for something in OC. South Coast would be the most convenient -- just couldn't tell whether it was likely to be almost all foil on any given night. And Laguna (second-closest) looked like it might only do sabre.

Contact Southcoast. You are correct it is primarily a Foil Club, but there are Epeeists. They get together among themselves to arrange a time for them to go. Find out what time that is.

I barely know Eric, and George only in passing - but I do know slander, or a sockpuppet, or a schill when I read one's efforts.
What type of a joke is the aforementioned post?
AFAIK Gryphon is a brand new OC foil/epee club taught by 2 collegiate club coaches no one has ever had any drekk to say about.

Again, Teacup, Purple Fencer, DHCjr, Flechewounds, Notalent, Demitrios, et al. have been around Southern California fencing scene for combined decades - they are definitely more trustworthy than your humble servant, and if they correct me - mea maxima culpa; but just to crap on 2 coaches' rep for kix and gigglez - that is low.

As such, the owners of Gryphon Fencing Club may be able to pursue legal remedies against you since the IP address which you have posted from was tracked and can be traced by your ISP to your specific user account.

I was there a couple of weeks ago. From a fencers standpoint, it is not a serious club. The place is too small, so not suitable for competition. As a matter of fact, they actually don't have any saberists. Both coaches are not familiar with current fencing regulations. If you are interested in sabre, Nick Dinu at Laguna Fencing Center is a much better choice. As far as George, when I checked his CalTech record, the team never made NCAAs. Most UCI fencers don't fence on campus, they go to UCSD, so I'm not really sure what Eric does. The place is not child friendly, because neither Eric nor George have the skills to work with kids. Good luck finding a club.
