| Answers from EDEW Maybe Craig should have left it open for me to at least answer it before (rightly) closing the thread. So for the curious and the morbidly curious: Question for Edew I feel that you've provided the board with a great deal of insight and commentary. But I also get a sence that you're starting to see yourself as a commentator rather than a fencer. I recall that you fence foil and saber, keeping the consistency of the row. Okay, what do you foresee for yourself in the next 5 years of fencing.
1. what competitions are you planning on entering
I plan to compete in the two other Bay Cup foil events, May 31 and June 15. I also plan to compete in the Santa Cruz Boardwalk Open, the Pacific Coast Championships, maybe the Overland KS NAC (maybe not, depending on finances), and the Summer Nationals.
I will probably do one or two local sabre Bay Cup events as well.
2. do you plan to keeping both weapons or going into saber exclusively and becoming a demon on wheels
I fence all three weapons, and do all three. I plan to continue fencing foil as my primary competitive weapon, and f-around with sabre and epee as I see fit.
3. do you plan to fence abroad eventually
and lastly,
I fence guys, broads, kids, chicks, whoever walks up to the strip against me. I don't think a broad would be the last one I fence, though.
4. when will you join our salle and teach our fledling/small whatever group?
Sometime between never and no chance. Mainly because I have no clue what (or where) your salle or fledgling small whatever it is, is.
