I suspect it's a cut & paste job from some other discussion forum that they also tried to spam. I'd be willing to speculate that there'll be loads of other random forums asking what random paragraphs from here are all about.
As long as they aren't from the Cleavage thread...
Blackbird singing in the dead of night;
Take these broken wings and learn to fly,
All your time... You were only waiting for this moment to arrive ~ Blackbird, A very close friend of mine
just wondering, does anyone know where i can find the dancing sequence from by the sword? i saw it once a few years ago and have been looking for it ever since.... and i really don't want to have to suffer through/download the whole movie to find it
The Duellists is extremely loosely based on real events being, in fact, based on a Joseph Conrad short story that had already fictionalised the protagonists.
Of course it's heavily fictionalized. Not many people would would willingly sit and watch 90 minutes worth of fencing footage on the big screen at about $10 a pop.
And Rob Roy has a what? I've never thought that film was very good. As a Scot I found Rob Roy to be a seriously dubious retelling.
And again with the fictionalizing aspect. Next you'll tell me that there is no Easter Bunny! Heheheh.
The final dueling scene at the end of that movie isn't like some swashbuckling Erroll Flynn piece where every thrust is perfectly parried and every parry countered; it's grueling and violent... as I'd imagine an actual duel would be like (having never actually tried to cut someone in half of course). That's what I meant by "Oh My God What The F**k!"
It's all fun and games until someone loses a tip screw.

Right. I don't think you got what I meant.
