Array Blade Question Question for all of you who do club stuff -- my personal gear situation is well in hand, but I need to help a college club make purchasing decisions.
Unfortunately, FIE foil/epee blades are cost-prohibitive, and I'm not well-versed in who produces the most durable non-FIE blades. Anybody?

From my experience running a club, I've found that Lammet blades (e.g., Fleche, Dinamo, etc.) give about as good a cost/durability ratio as you'll find for keeping a club stocked with blades. They have an average- to somewhat above-average lifespan at a below average price.

Array The Dynamo practice foil blades have held up really well for me so far. -
What my college club has been doing for the past couple seasons is ordering direct from uhlmann. This has allowed us to get much more equipment at a lower price. It takes a while for things to get here, but for something like blades where you want to have a bunch on hand anyway it makes a lot more sense. The most recent blades we got from them are very nice. They are the low end blade, but have a frosted coating which will inhibit rust. A good thing since our armory is a tad damp. Similar Threads -
