I cede the point; nay, the bout. The essay was something we were given in English as an example of alternative thinking (break out of the box, etc.), with no opinion of the teacher's behind it. It is a rather convincing essay, especially when the opposing viewpoint isn't well presented. However, when it is well presented (thanks to all of you), the fallacy is much clearer.
