USFA Subsidy Program

Does the USFA still have that subsidy program where they reimburse you $1000.00 for your $1500 spent for club equipment? I tried to find it on the site but could not. Has anyone ever successfully been reimbursed for this program?

Considering the USFA can't pay its own bills, even if the program technically still exists, I wouldn't count on receiving any of that money.

It was not included in the 2010-11 budget.

It was in the budgets for the two previous years but I don't believe any grants were awarded under the program either of those years. Prior to that it awarded a number of grants annually, although at least in some years the number of applications matched or was less than the number of grants available. It was never properly promoted or advertised, as one would expect free money might have proven fairly popular.

I hope thats not still available. USFA has no business giving away money in programs like this when we can't even pay our own refs.

Yes. '90s. Turned into a shipment of beginner-type equipment, USFA kept ownership. Might be some floating around, worth contacting N.O. .

In our Division, the Division will give grants like that (sometimes money, sometimes equipment). You might try contacting your division.
