    new forum member from Belgium

    Hi guys and gall's,

This is Marijn from Belgium. I took up epee fencing 4 years ago, and I am teaching foil for a year now.
I recently got elected chairman of our club, which is located in Antwerp.

I found this site while searching online for more info on how to give training, good ideas for our club and more. I must say I really like the forums and the information that is displayed here! Great work!

So if you happen to visit Belgium, drop me a line and come fence with us!!
You can also visit our website, http://www.antwerpsschermcentrum.be , which is in dutch and still needs some work.

    Sure,
You can contact the club "Hallebardiers" via Bart Vyvey via mail info@escrime.be or on his mobile +32 475 71 25 52.
He will be happy to have you there! They are the oldest club in Belgium, dating from 1444!!

You could also go to Gent, and fence over there in the Lakenhalle building, which is beautiful!

    No idea actually
But people in Belgium tend to speak English quite good, so I assume it will be no problem

Do you happen to have Sabre? I know an exchange student who's in Belgium right now... fenced sabre with him here in the states for several years. He's been looking around for any fencing clubs, and Sabre would be a plus.
    It's relative.

I'm not totally sure where he is now, as he rotates between three families over the year. I can check with him, hopefully he can find one.
