Epee Blades

Hi,
I don't want to start a flame war or anything, but what are
peoples opinions on good FIE blades -- BF or Leon Paul?
Which lasts longer, is more flexible etc...

Chris

Re: Epee Blades

I have had good luck with Allstar/Uhllmann FIE blades, witch are
manufactured by BF I believe. LP FIE blades are very flexible and are quite
"whippy", very difficult to control. I have been hearing very good thing
about PBT witch manufactures a reasonably priced FIE blade.

For what its worth

Re: Epee Blades

I have been very happy with the BF "blue" blade. Stands up to abuse. Usually
on the stiff side, but offers excellent control. Doesn't matter if it is sold
by Allstar or Uhlman, the manufacturer is BF.

Re: Epee Blades

Cartel blades are the best.

Re: Epee Blades

I have to admit a fondness for Leon Paul epees. They are soft, flexible and
relatively light. But I will say that too many hard hits have made mine
start to bend a little oddly.

Re: Epee Blades

Surprised that no-one has mentioned the sheet metal blades. I've found
them to be very resiliant, light, flexible and almost as fast as a foil.
