    DVD - Men's Epee World Cup 2002

Over the past few days, I edited original digital film of the individual semifinals (Jeannet vs Zakharov and Kolobkov vs Ku), individual final (Jeannet vs Kolobkov) and gold medal bout for team epee Russia (Kotchetkov, Seline, Kolobkov) vs France (Obry, Jeannet, Janvier, Lucenay). This is at 720 lines of resolution vs around 200 of VHS. Slow motion can be applied by DVD players. The DVD format is DVD+R, which is played back by 90% of all stand alone players, and pretty much all players manufactured after 2000.

After doing it myself, I now understand why Fencing DVDs have not been available as of yet. Whatever proceeds exists would be donated to support the fencing internet page for latinamerica ( http://www.esgrimaMEX.com and its webforum http://www.esgrimamex.com/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi ), A.K.A. esgrima en espanol. For those of you who complain about what the USFA has done for them (rather them doing something for the USFA), they just need to look south at the rest of the American Continent to see how truly little support exist there.

I should be able to post details within a week from today.

    JEC:

Out of curiosity, what was the source format of the "digital film" (and by that I assume you mean tape)? How did you output that source at 720 lines? And what editing program were you using?

I ask this because we want to do something similar at our club.

    How to purchase:
    - it will be selling shortly at:
