Another vote of thanks for a very well run tournament. The combined foil open event was a blast. We fenced off for every slot in the 16. (Thank you refs! I don't know that you had a say in that.) Downtime between stages was practically zero. You guys set the standard for what a well run event looks like! -
Obviously "mcap" has never been to a PdF run event. Things happen, how it is handled and dealt with is the indicator of "competence". We did not talk to anyone that did not get the venue change message. As others have indicated many had received it more than a couple of times.
As for this RFC family PdF is the standard for well run events. Hopefully with some work & diligence our own Rochester SYC will come close some day.
Unfortunately this weekend was my son's last SYC due to aging out but fortunately it was this one, he had a great time Saturday fencing in the open foil, a moderate great time in the 14's (missed the eights due to a rather large brain cramp) but recovered to finish the weekend on a high note in the team event. Overall great weather and as usual a great event by the PdF.
Thanks! -

Everything is up on askFRED now. Open results are with the rest of the individual events.

Wait, am I the only one wondering whether Brian was joking about it being the sole fault of the organizers or not? Also, while I'm here, who's getting into Dallas early-ish and might be up for a jaunt to Addison Thursday night? I now dangle to the left....my tassle. Get your minds out of the gutter.

How come there are some fencers listed as PrisedeFer National Division? -

Thanks for the reminder, I need to email Peet to tell him to merge those clubs.

Not a problem. The duplicate PdF club records needed to be merged (in favor of the one in NE div), but this doesn't affect Pasha's division affiliation.
'Cause of course a fencer can be in a different division from their club.
