Although we didn't make smores, and not one bar of Kum by yah this was a fantastic weekend. The tournament part not so much, I would have had to suck to fence better. I was afraid I would hurt some of them. I did have some good bouts.
Special thanks go out to Pia Douglas and her "volunteers" (here, you are helping) Les Stawicki, Dr. Don DeFabio, Mario Rodriquez and of course the members of the Grand Canyon State Fencing Foundation for being a part of the program. ( You Tube link coming with a great promo film.)
While I b!tched and moaned about the weekend. ( I gotta be me) I would not have missed it for the world. If you meet one of the members or see one of the "special" guests, be sure to say something. They are what this sport is all about. Sticking someone, and making new friends.
