    Place to donate used equipment

I was wondering if anyone knows of a charitable organization where I can donate some used fencing gear that I can't seem to sell. I have some items that are almost brand new and others that have seen a good amount of use but are still in very usable condition. I would prefer to donate it to a club in need where kids can benefit from someone else's no longer needed items.

    Thanks,
    Donna

    Hi Donna,

I'm sure there are college club teams near you that could use your un-needed equipment.

Or even some kids with money issues at a local commercial club.

We are have a Coed Scout fencing team in Southern Illinois that could use it. But my personal opinion regarding donations is to first help those near you.

If you can't find someone near you that could use the gear, we would be honored to use it.

    Sincerely,
Pearce Wilson, Millstadt Venture Crew #1826

The Nation Fencing Foundation of DC could most definitely use any and all equipment. Check them out at www.nffdc.org I could help facilitate the equipment donation for you if you want

Not sure where you are located, but almost any nearby club would be happy to have it. For example, Fencers Club/Peter Westbrook Foundation in NYC has programs for exposing underprivileged youngsters to fencing and they are always looking for gently used equipment.
