Big Red Cornell Summer Fencing Camp

HI. I was just wondering if anyone has heard of the big red cornell summer fencing camp, part of big red cornell Summer Sports School.

If you or your children have had experiences relating to this camp, please post them here? I am looking for more information such as

    -level of intensity
    -social climate
    -how much their fencing improved

    Unnecessary snark?

    You must be bored.

Or maybe you don't think "enjoyment" is enough to make something worthwhile? You of all people I would expect to feel that way.

    I was amused!!
However, that post didn't answer the majority of the questions asked.

See the difference? What does the writer of the post know about Fdad's kid? What weapon does she or he fence? What level?
    One fast answer deserves another.

Check the time of my post and when the details you quote were edited in, see the difference?

    good GAWD!!!!
What are all you guys having periods?
I was just messing around and posting a bit of snark, I thought my comment was supposed to be a little funny, granted just a little but that is what was intended.
Where do I get a permit for posting snark?
    How much does it cost?
You guys all seem to have them.
    Lighten up!!!

Heres the problem, on the mean-funny continuum, you're post wasn't funny enough to be that mean. The funnier it is, the more mean its reasonable for it to be. This wasn't that funny, but WAS pretty mean...

But just for the heck of it, Fdad, since you're the only person who actually knows anything about the camp, COULD you answer the questions I edited in? only if you want to of course, don't worry about it otherwise.

My kid went to the camp (both sessions) during the summer before Junior year of HS. Had been fencing for about 8 mos. at the time and had just received an E rating in Foil in early June. Most of the other participants were about the same age (some younger, a few one year older) and many good long term friends were made. Liked the coach and staff. The fencing was also pretty strong (not as strong as the FC camp attended that August, stronger than the Princeton camp attended that June). Since it was a sumer camp, and the first competition afterwards was not until Fall, its hard to judge how much improvement was related to that camp versus, other camps, lessons, etc. but made top 8 at next (D3) NAC.
