Array An incredible amount of work, with great propensity for abuse, and few complements when you do well.
Basically, it's the senior staff position for running the tournaments, including the pre-planning and the on-site tasks.
Assist in site selection, direct interface to venue management, floor layout, select/hire all the trades & services, manage vendors, supervise/approve expenses for officials, arrange shipping, on site supervision of all trades and services, including food, for setup, run and teardown, supervise and do a lot of check-in, host hotel management. I've overlooked at least a dozen more.
And, mostly, solve problems as they occur. For anyone, at any time, for anything they think some one else should deal with.
We used to not have people who could do this well. Many of us remember what that was like. Then Christine came. Majik. Then she trained Ashley. TWO magicians. Then Ashley left.
