| I was told by Eric Dew that Rick DiNapoli is in charge of the Titan Games. He is getting me an e-mail address. As soon as I know I will pass it on.

| Olympic hopefuls only, from Asia (China), Mexico, and the US.
Iris is one of the featured ones. I'm guessing, they might ask Tim Chang or Alex Wood, and Eric Hansen and Cody Mattern. As for sabre, I'm sure they would have to import them from the East Coast.

Fencing on ESPN?
I refuse to get my hopes up, but the possibility exists. |

| From the web-site, "Elite boxers, fencers, shot putters, wrestlers, weightlifters and judo, taekwondo and karate athletes will be matched up with the world's best in each of their respective sports."
it almost makes it sound like the fencers and wrestlers will be competing against each other.
I agree with Prometheus, I'll believe it when I see it. |

| They'll show the rest of the sports and mention fencing with a 5 second flash.
(or am I just being cynical?)

| Titan Games The Titan Games will occur on Fri 2/14 7pm - 10 pm (Pan Am v Asia); Sat 2/15 12pm - 3pm (US v Pan Am); and Sat 2/15 7pm - 10 pm (US v Asia). tickets are $24 - 28 per session. Each session includes not only fencing, but also Olympic Boxing, Wrestling, Weightlifting, Shot Put (with Beer Garden), Judo, and Tae Kwon Do. All events will be happening simultaneously at one venue (the San Jose State University Event Center) (ala 3 ring circus). You can e-mail me at dinap@earthlink.net for tickets. $4 of each of these tickets goes to the Bay Cup Fencing.
The date, which conflicts with the JO's was selected by the USOC and not USFA. |
