That Guy
Array The Stick - 21 Day Challenge Over the past few months, we've been showing off a line of self-massage products at local events, last season's Nationals and the Junior Olympics. The reception that we're getting is great on these is great.
We started carrying these products because Michael started to use them in his own training and swore by them. Some research showed active users in the running, triathlon, and cycling communities and a quick test by fencers in the office had us convinced.
What I'm seeing at the events is curiosity at the product and a desire for more feedback on how it helps fencers. We're going to continue to show off this product at the events we go to, but we want to get more case studies from fencers.
To that end, we're taking the page from one of the running communities and launching The 21-Day Challenge.
The Stick 21 Day Challenge is a chance for a group of fencers to receive a free Stick, use it regularly for three weeks and to write about their results.
The first round of participants in The Stick 21-Day Challenge will receive their free Stick from Fencing.Net in the next two weeks.
Here are the details: How can I participate?
Simply send an e-mail to craig@fencing.net stating your interest in participating in The Stick 21-Day Challenge. Be sure to tell us about your fencing—actively training or recovering? Also mention if you’re dealing with any injuries, chronic tight areas, trouble spots for soreness, stiffness, etc, etc. And let us know what results you hope using The Stick will produce for you.
Participants will be selected and announced on Friday, March 5th. What will I do?
We will send you the appropriate Stick model and a DVD with demonstrations on the effective use of The Stick. Then you’ll kick off your own 21-day routine of using the stick. You’ll be asked to: - Join The 21-Day Stick Challenge Group forum
- Write a "before" story describing your training in The 21-Day Stick Challenge Lounge Group
- Post about using The Stick in the Lounge Group at least twice a week for three weeks
- Post your "after" story and first-hand experiences about using the Stick related to your running, training, and recovery
Here at Fencing.Net, we're believers in this training tool. We want to gather other experiences and be able to share those with the community and get more real user feedback on things that work and don't work for your training and performance.

Array I wish this is done 7 months ago when I spent my own money to buy one and use it frequently since... :/ -

Array I also wish I had gotten in on it free, but I'm glad I didn't wait. I love it. -

Array Automassage? It's what they are. You massage yourself. -

Array You'd better believe that. It relieves a lot of tension and stress! The only way to atone for being occasionally a little over-dressed is by being always absolutely over-educated. -Oscar Wilde -
Will it give my daughter better point control or should I be buying the whip instead of the stick :-) -

Array Maybe they'll come out with a vibrating Stick for girls... The only way to atone for being occasionally a little over-dressed is by being always absolutely over-educated. -Oscar Wilde -
Seriously though my daughter loves the stick, but every time I use it on her thighs and hamstrings and calves ( areas that seem to benefit most from the stick for her) she gets a bad case of the giggles. -

Array I think I'll hold off for The Carrot 21 Day Challenge. "Their interpretation is, however, refuted most elegantly by your system of radioactive atom + amplifier + charge of gun powder + cat in a box"

Array Oh, I don't carrot all for either idea, myself.
Now, if there's a chocolate donut challenge, I'm in! Use the Shift key, people! Keyboard manufacturers everywhere are ineffably saddened when you ignore what they made just for you! -
