Randal : I left the coffee pot on again, didn't I?

The Jo's weekend regardless of the international calender is a fixed weekend, which has always been the President's Day weekend in February. Perhaps because of conflicts in the International Schedule, (because of a weekend that has been used since the inception of the JO's), we should just do away with JO's and have only a championship in the summer that deals nothing with the selection or announcement of the World Junior Team? February, regardless of what is done, is now the end of the Junior International Calender and the beginning of the Senior International calender and there will be conflict because of overlap and the number of juniors competing for spots on the senior teams.

US Fencing Association I assume you are joking to make your point.
It is clear to me that the potential conflicts between the JOs and Junior World Cups is a rather overstated problem that appears to be upsetting to some people, but is not really a big deal. The national coaches simply can designate competitions that do not conflict with the JO date for next season. Even with the reduced number of Junior World Cups, there are still plenty of high quality events in Europe in all weapons that can serve as selection criteria for both the Cadet and Junior World Champ teams. I don't see why this should be a problem. -

I really couldn't give a crap what weekend JOs is and whether it conflicts with a world cup or not. A simple "oops, I thought JOs was the weekend before, thanks for pointing that out" would be a rational response to my correction, even if followed up with a "but that really doesn't change things". -

Opps! Thanks for pointing it out.
Again, Exactly!

The national coaches could decide not to designate junior world cups that might conflict with JOs, or if the events are designated, they could do what has been done in the past in regard to Div I conflicts.
Either award a lower strength factor to the domestic event, Jan. Div I vs epee senior international events, or not count JO results, Div I results didn't count for team points when they conflicted with the Pan Am Championships. -

Is there a new secret USFA plan not to participate in Team events that someone want to share?
Another question: There were propositions by several National Federations
to move World Championship to July/August/September.
Is there "unofficial until fully official" FIE decision on this subject too?
If so, how it will work out with October PRE World Championship Div 1 NAC/camps
which if such FIE decision becomes "officially official" will be held AFTER World Championship?
Brilliant.
Or is it another way to sign up rich sponsors that you can not stop talking about?

. The FIE schedule will not be official until in is voted on In april with the official release of information from the FIE in May. We will see what they do when the schedule is debated and voted on in its final form.
Yes, sorry to offend you but sponsors will be a subject that will never go away and if we want growth and more opportunities with our sport, it will be necessary.
