On the second day of Christmas Fencing, my true love gave to me,

    Two French grips
And a pommel in a pear tree!
It is the soldier, not the reporter, who has given us the freedom of the press. It is the soldier, not the poet, who has given us the freedom of speech. It is the soldier, not the campus organizer, who gives us the freedom to demonstrate. It is the soldier who salutes the flag, who serves beneath the flag, and whose coffin is draped by the flag, who allows the protestor to burn the flag. - Father Dennis Edward O'Brien, USMC

'twas the night before fencing, and all through the salle,
Not a fencer was fencing, not even my buddy Al,
Ma in her helmet and me in my lame, had just settled in for a 15 touch nap.......

(yes it's a stretch for rhyming.. but it works, yes?)

when what to my wondering eyes should appear,
but a mango all dressed in her new fencing gear,
with a touch to the kneecap and a flick to the wrist,
soon gave them to know, she hardly ever missed,

on angel, on eppemasher, on inquart and sallearmorer,
on slo-mo, on psycho, on zelda and all,
to the end of the strip, to the end of the wall,
now advance lunge disengage, disengage all!!!!
