Array What operating system do you use? I was just wondering what OS you all used. Prefiero morir de pie que vivir siempre arrodillado. -

Array Vista. Don't judge me, I'm too lazy to look into another OS, and I despise Macs. -

What if I use more operating systems in the "other" category" than the rest combined? (The only one I didn't check was Google Chrome. And that's just because I haven't gotten around to it yet.) -

Array I use multiple linuxes, solaris, various BSDs, OS X and when I feel like being flippant about recent technological advances BeOS 5.
Poll did not include "flawed" option and is therefore flawed.
edit: Until fairly recently I still used Tru64 with more frequency than any windows variant. (our DECs got retired in October )
edit2: I suppose poll included windows, which may be a workable substitute for "flawed" option.

What is this "flawed" operating system option of which you refer?
Isn't saying "flawed operating system" redundant? - Wisdom is the knowledge of how much you don't know. -

Isn't saying "flawed operating system" redundant? Same as saying "flawed poll". -

Array Am forced at gunpoint to use Vista at work. When they told us they were switching us to this POS, I demanded to have Windows 3.1.1 or at least DOS 2 installed instead. The IT dweeb just stared blankly at me. Then I felt REALLY old........
Prefer XP - Professional, have it on my home machines. -

Array I did not choose "other" to indicate multiple OS's because that is like, IDK, silly. OF COURSE we are using multiple OS's (few exceptions noted.) I mean, I went through like, 4 in the course of 4 weeks while I picked an upgrade. And my file server is a different OS from my laptop, etc, etc.
So, the short answer is:
LinuxMint Helena (8) KDE with the Fluxbox WM
File server is Zenwalk Server: Zenwalk Linux 2.6.25.4. ( up 310 days, 22:32, 3 users, load average: 0.49, 0.97, 1.05 )
Proxy is LinuxMint Daryna KDE ( up 116 days, 7:31, 2 users, load average: 0.00, 0.01, 0.00)
Then, with Sun's Virtual Box, I have VM's for WIN98,ME,2K,2003 and now 7. But I hardly ever use them. It was just a sort of pastime. Then, there is Mum's Mac. Sure, I use it.
I mean, OS!2 was cool, in its day, but I mean, does it really have any relevance unliess you are running some sort of outdated IBM co-processor board?
Maybe, "What is your favourite OS?" "What is your primary OS?"
(Do phone OS's count?)

. I don't understand a single word of this.
When I turn my computer on - windows comes up and lets me get at porn. It's been that way since middleschool and I am ok with that. -

Array Windows 7 on all my computers. Android on my phone. "When Fascism comes to America, it will come wrapped in the flag and bearing a cross." -

Array Mostly linux, Suse and Ubuntu, with Ubuntu being the new distro of choice. Windows XP when I'm forced to by some piece of hardware (usually a camera or some such) and then some websites don't work except with IE. But I have two separate desktop boxes and a laptop or two running and then some embedded boxes for playing around on.
I really like having 10 virtual desktops up. Eight of them will have two or more copies of firefox or Konqueror running. Surfing the web takes some sort of skill. -

Array OpenSolaris as primary OS. In VirtualBox guests and lab machines: Ubuntu, Solaris 10, Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Oracle Enterprise Linux, and a motley collection of WIndows 7, Windows XP, Windows 2000.
