no, i said i dont like parries. here let me sum up szilagyi and iliasz defense for you: they spin the blade a lot to make people frantic while leading the footwork to be just outside of your finishing range. when you accelerate they will either fake you and pull you short (sometimes with a stopcut) or they will counterattack if they think you are accelerating long. THATS IT. it works because they have good footwork but it is boring as hell to analyze
its not a game. comments like that tell me that you arent interested in the thread. but you could more quietly express disintrest by skipping comments like that altogether. if you have a serious comment post it, other wise dont. thats all i ask
Looks like a pretty classic right of way dispute between the turn-takers and the no-turnsies. Given the current international strength of the no-turnsies party, I am unsurprised it went Gu's way.
As a foilist I (very) humbly submit my opinion that Occhiuzi appeared hard done by...
i think everyone who was watching, me included was surprised that gu got that touch. although to be fair the director had called it that way a few touches ago. AND TO BE MORE FAIR, occhiuzzi should never have let it get that close to begin with. he was cleary exhausted and tried to conserve energy instead of finishing him off
Hey, I'd like to see an analysis of that Andrew Fischl guy. I think it might be interesting.
Unless you find his fencing boring.
it would be presumptous of me to assume that people would be more interested in seeing an analysis video of me than of other, better people. not only that but i dont really like my fencing right now. will work on it and maybe in a few years
