Fencing in Limoges France

Yeah - I aint been eaten by the big bad thesis...though it is a close call.
Question for the brains around here (and those that know me, know who I consider brains)..whats the fencing like on a day to day basis in Limoges? I know the world Vets was held there 2 years ago, but am unsure if it was big event type thing, or if it was solid club based repayment if you get what I mean.
I would try to explain WHY I am asking, but its all still very much pie in the sky until certain people get back from certain places and look at certain things. I am just trying to get an idea of background/history. This is one of a couple of places I am going to put this, so those of you who read other boards, sorry if you get it double.
