| While Paypal might be worth looking at for a 1-time transaction, it's NOT smart to use them in general. Check out www.paypalsucks.com for more information. They do NOT have a good track record. Additionally it's extremely likely that every bank charge that would be hit sending a check will also have to be paid using paypal with paypal's fees additional.

| Ok, folks. Some of you have spoken and I will deliver. I have made weapon-specific tapes of foil and sabre. I will bring them to the duplicators tomorrow. The numbers in the poll are not too exciting: 6 for foil, 6 for sabre, and 3 for epee. I might make an epee-specific tape if there's enough interest.
In the meantime, I will make enough foil- and sabre-specific tapes to meet the 6 demands. I'll have extras, and perhaps try to pawn some off at the San Diego NAC or the JOs. (I get a good number of requests there.)
The order form has been updated to include these new options: www.eskimo.com/~edew/home/tape_order.html
Enjoy.

| Hi!
First of all, I would like to thank everyone for their suggestions on how to transfer money in the best way, and for all donations.
If Edew would wire money directly to me the Sw. bank (for one) would take a hefty cut, (but not the Sw. state). I have asked at the bank about this, and if you would like to hear the nitty-gritty I could post it.
Anyway, there is a stopgap solution which is much easier on your side. My mother comes from Bakersfield, California. She has lived in Sweden since 1964, but still has a bank account in a local bank. Eric can wire the money to her account, and the I and mom can figure out the rest later on. She visits USA on a yearly basis, so we can fix the rest. Eric will get the bank account particulars in an email.
(Peter smacks his forehead for not figuring out this before!)
Have a nice time!

| Sounds like an Enron scheme. You sure your mom doesn't have an account somewhere in the Cayman Islands?

| not having a telephone number is not a valid reason to dump a company, for that matter, craig doesn't keep his telephone number posted, and there's a simple reason for that: 4000 viewers per day and only craig to answer the telephone....... |

| The Magma flow.
I'm going with the flow, the gulf stream of conciousness, the jet stream of the world, I also answer to tweetybird, but my point is well taken.
Which weapon do you like best, foil, epee or saber. |

| Hi and happy holidays!
I saw a note in the paper that may sound reminicient.
Quote from the sports supplement of the largest paper in Sweden:
"We live in an underdeveloped country regarding to basketball. While interest for NBA grows in the rest of Europe, South America, and Asia it is decreasing in Sweden. There is no TV-channel in Sweden which shows NBA games in full, or even highlights. For that reason, a bunch of us drooling basket nerds sit up to 23:30 waiting for a few seconds of basket in TV3."
And so on ad nauseam.
Wow, my sympathies are with him!
Anyway, a few things that I am curious about:
What do you do about the language? Ignore the Swedish, mute the TV, get some exchange student to translate?
Who gets the tapes? Do many of them end up as gifts, club use, or used by the buyer themselves?
Have a nice time, and happy holidays!

| I'd be interested in some ME specific tapes for the 2002 WC. I'll definately get the 2000 and 2001 ME tapes until the 2002 ME tapes are available.

| I can bring some tapes to San Diego. I can't bring too many, because I have other things packed up, and I have to bring the tapes in my carry-on, as the checked baggage may go through one of those super X-ray machines, thereby possibly whacking the contents.
What tapes do people want me to bring? So far, I have not receive a single request for the weapons-specific tapes. That is, no orders with a check. I'm not too happy about that because I'm set back several hundreds of dollars for that effort.

| Sorry, Eric. I've printed out the order form, it's on my desk, it's just that, you know, it's Xmas. LOTS of stuff competing for my time, attention and dollars.
I'll get my order out Thursday or Friday. |

Sounds like you already went to the trouble. If there is any convenient way to substitute whatever tapes for me you can and give the excess to the PG fund, feel free to do so, if you haven't already mailed mine. Or you can also feel free to ignore this completely. Sigh. To be clearer, I will watch the men's sabre and women's sabre only, on whatever tapes I get, so whatever is easiest for you, do it.

| Peach, you should be receiving your box of tapes by end of this week or early next week. Given the amount of packages the USPS is pushing around this week, I'll be amazed if you get it any earlier.
Sorry for being too hasty.

| Eric, you will get my order when the banks open up again after Christmas and I can organise a bank cheque for US dollars.
will most probably be when I get back to Tassie though as the bank here near my parents is staffed by a total of 4 brain cells.
