Need help getting Soudet equipment

I've heard great things from many people about Soudet jackets: specifically, lightness and stretch of fabric. However there is no information about them anywhere on the internet except for a mailing address in France. Does anyone know how to order from them? Get a catalog?

Thanks for any help.

I have Soudet equipment and it is quite nice.

Soudet is not the most advanced when it comes to e-commerce. My wife goes to France on business frequently so we have the advantage of being able to conduct business face-to-face.

However, the person to speak to is Bruno Royer. A very nice fellow, and he is fluent in English. His e-mail is (or at least used to be):

soudet1@club-internet.fr

Most of my correspondence with him was via FAX. His FAX number, as dialed from the US is:

011 33 1 43 143 311.

Since they are also the Prieur distributor, you may be able to contact them through the Prieur site (which has been up and down over the years):

http://www.prieur-sports.com

Try these methods. You could also call directly which could be pricey depending on where you are:

011 33 1 43 14 33 15

Paolo's got the best advice. I also use Soudet uniforms, but they've not had any vendor in the U.S. for something like 7 years or so. I've always picked up my uniforms whenever I've been at an international tournament where Soudet/Prieur had a booth (they run a joint booth). Bruno's a great guy to deal with.

If for whatever reason buying from France doesn't work out for you, the PBT Superlight FIE uniform is made of a very similar (if not identical) material to the current Soudet uniforms.

Ditto to Palo's advice if you live in Australia. Marion Bicknell used to be able to get them but I dont think she can anymore.

thanks for everyone's advice

This should help alot, I'll try and contact that guy in France first. Also, thanks for the info about the PBT jacket.

Btw, does anyone know of any other jackets that use similar material to the PBT Superlight and the Soudets?

Thanks again.

I would look into the Negrini kit (available in the US through American Fencers Supply) or Carmimari (available only in Italy directly through Carmimari.).
