    Healthy athletic sponsorship???

Gotta get it out of my system...

How many of you have seen the McDonald's advertisement featuring the tennis-dominating Williams sisters? I am more than just a little offended that these two amazon goddesses of athletic competition could ever promote something as blatantly unhealthy as a big ol' greasy McD burger, fries and Coke. I actually used to admire those women for working their bodies to such peak buff condition. Now, though? - Forget it.

Perhaps its a clever strategic move. If their opponents are tricked into eating the food thinking it will help them they'll have a big advantage competitively.

Yes. I'm sure they got where they are on a strict diet of tofu and salads.

Lighten up, already. There is no such thing as an "unhealthy food". It's all protein, carbohydrate, fat and water in the final analysis, and the body uses them the same from a bacon cheeseburger as it does from bean sprouts. It's only eating fast foods in excess that can be unhealthy.

And let's not even start with people suing fast food because they're disgustingly fat...
It is the soldier, not the reporter, who has given us the freedom of the press. It is the soldier, not the poet, who has given us the freedom of speech. It is the soldier, not the campus organizer, who gives us the freedom to demonstrate. It is the soldier who salutes the flag, who serves beneath the flag, and whose coffin is draped by the flag, who allows the protestor to burn the flag. - Father Dennis Edward O'Brien, USMC
