Array I know most of us parents will wait all day and then some for the @&%# kids to call and tell us how they did... "Sometimes we, as coaches, get into that dictator mode where you just tell and you don't listen and you don't try to understand them." Tom Izzo, Mich. St.

Anybody hear anything from the Penn State meet yet? -

Array I heard there were at least a couple of "local" teams that withdrew at the last minute from fencing other teams that had driven a long way to the meet.
I don't understand college fencing very well, it seems. "Sometimes we, as coaches, get into that dictator mode where you just tell and you don't listen and you don't try to understand them." Tom Izzo, Mich. St.

Arizona State was going to host it (like they did a few years back), but it proved too expensive. UCLA tried to line it up, but I think the school admin dicked around and the team never got confirmation of the venue.
Next year (a shame...I usually do pretty well vending that event...then again, the idea of driving to Arizona through the recent rains did NOT thrill me) -

Array Penn St. and Upenn have brief stories up on their fencing webpages. "Sometimes we, as coaches, get into that dictator mode where you just tell and you don't listen and you don't try to understand them." Tom Izzo, Mich. St.
