Array Use of VIdeo in USFA bouts A couple of questions:
1. What are the current accepted uses of video by directors in USFA sanctioned events? In 2006 the FIE decided to use video to review certain referee decisison. Fencers can appeal for a certain number of video replays and referees, as well, can ask to consult the video replay before making their decisions. Is this also true for the USFA? Has this been used in USFA sanctioned events i.e. does a precedent exist?
2. Is video from any source acceptable or does it have to be only from some bc appointed person?
3. Can video from onlookers be used to contest a director's call? -
1) When video replay is provided by the tournament it can be used in accordance with the FIE rules. Consult their rulebook, including the need for a separate replay official.
2) No
3) Never ever -

You have to overturn the call, I don't care that the bout slip has been taken in already! Fine, we'll go to the bout committee and show them and they'll change the outcome of the bout. You'll see.
