Array Pre Battle In Seattle warmup? I'm planned a week long trip around the Battle In Seattle to visit the multitude of close friends I have in that lovely city. I get into SeaTac around 2:30pm next Wednesday. I'd like to fence Epee either Wednesday or Thursday. Can anyone recommend any clubs to practice at? -

Array Salle Auriol Seattle has their biggest night of practice on Wed.: http://www.salleauriol.com/
Hmm.... the biggest practice night is the same day as "pub night".
Coincidence? I think not.....

Array If you come and play at Salle Auriol on Wed you can get the equipment check out of the way at the same time (7:30 to 9:30).
Last week there were 25~30 eppeists hard at it and at least another 15~18 foilists.
Tues/Thurs is Sabre, with the pre-event equipment check happening at the Salle on Thursday. -

Array I also have a bunch of friends out there, and am getting into town on Tuesday before the Battle. So, see you at practice Wednesday? Thru the darkness of Future Past

Array Tuesday and Thursday from 7:30pm to (roughly) 10pm there is also open fencing at Rain City (foil & epee) if you're on the Eastside...

Dan So Wednesdays are good at SA and TUE/THU at RC?
Any other good days at SA?

Array Small thread hijack...
If you're attending the Battle in Seattle next weekend, please make sure your email address in your account on AskFRED is up-to-date. (If you get confirmation emails from AskFRED already, then it should be.)
I'll be sending out some important info regarding the event (various reminders, parking info, projected event end times, etc.) via AskFRED's email system in the next couple of days, and you won't want to miss it.
Thanks!

-p That's my friend's Salle. What is this "pub night"? Originally Posted by TooLoftheDeviL I also have a bunch of friends out there, and am getting into town on Tuesday before the Battle. So, see you at practice Wednesday? Yes, most definitely. I'll be the epee fencer with the Icelandic name on the back of my jacket not at all matching my skin tone. Dan I'll be staying so Eastside that the Rain City Fencing Center will be to my West! So that sounds potentially like a good option....
See y'all there! -

This scheduled "practice" tends to increase attendance at the earlier "practice".
